Penetrating through the lane, getting buckets, and most importantly putting up the W on all of her opponents. This season, you can find her playing every position. Senior Lindsey Jennings is in her final year at Bob Jones, and she wants nothing but to bring back another championship to add to the legacy of the Patriots. In an interview I had with Jennings, she took me into the journey of just how she fell in love with basketball.
First off, what position do you play?
Lindsey Jennings: I originally play point guard. However, this year I am playing every position.
What made you want to play basketball and what has motivated you to continue?
I’ve been playing since I was 5 or 6. I started playing basketball because it was just the sport that I was best at out of all the sports I tried and I wanted to be like my older sister. I was good at it and actually enjoyed playing. It wasn’t just something that I got tired of. I could just keep playing all day everyday I love basketball.
What are your plans for the future?
I hope to continue my basketball career at the University of South Alabama.
Favorite team/athlete?
My favorite male athletes are Dwyane Wade and Allen Iverson. My favorite female athlete is Candace Parker.
Who is your favorite artist to listen to before games?
I like to listen to Drake before the game. No certain songs, but one song I do listen to while I’m shooting in the gym by myself and before every game is Congratulations by Drake. And I also have a crush on him too.
Also, are there certain goals you’ve set for yourself?
There are two main goals: make it to state and help my team get there and win.
