XC: Randolph Classic

Staff

Running or swimming?  The cross country team wasn’t sure which would be expected of them.  It’s the race that is also known as “The Run in the Mud.”

The Randolph Classic was held at UAH.  It is a tough course with puddles, mud, and even a creek to cross.  Runners crossed the finish line with wet shoes, soaking wet uniforms, and usually splattered with mud.  Over 1000 runners competed, and the course just got worse as the race went on.

The BJHS XC team did well with both Peyton Tyler and Nate Santiago doing well for the Varsity Boys and Lillie Robinson doing well for Varsity Girls.  The JV teams did well, too.

Mr. Parker stated on the morning announcements, “The team is back!”  Coach Baker and the entire girls and boys teams seem to be on the right track.
