Trash Pandas: You Can Get Your Tickets Now

The Rocket City Trash Pandas, Madison’s own Minor League Baseball team, has been in the talks for years now, ever since it was announced in 2017 that the Mobile BayBears were planning to relocate. While they were off to a rocky start last year, with the team’s first season being canceled due to the COVID-19 lockdown, 2021 has proven to be an optimistic year.

You can watch the Bob Jones and James Clemens baseball teams face off at the stadium’s official ribbon-cutting this evening. Tickets are $10 and parking is $3.

Single-game tickets recently went on sale on April 17th, awaiting the Trash Panda’s first home game against the Tennessee Smokies on May 11th. The Toyota Field will be operating at full capacity for the opening day, holding up to 7,500 people. Prior to May 11th, the team will be playing against the Chattanooga Lookouts, and later in May, against the Birmingham Barons and Pensacola Blue Wahoos.

May is also filled with many giveaway items, such as dog leashes, seat cushions (18+), and bobbleheads (12 and under). Events such as happy hour, fireworks night, and armed forces night are scheduled to take place.

It might be a year later than anticipated, but the Trash Pandas are eager to take the field and hope to see you in attendance.
