Indoor Track State Results

On Saturday, the Bob Jones Track Team completed an outstanding Indoor Season at the 7A State Championships held at the Birmingham CrossPlex. There were 18 teams competing and both our Boys and Girls Teams finished in Eighth Place.
GIRLS
Kaitlyn Ford took Second Place in the High Jump and achieved a Top 10 ranking for the State.
Alivia Urrutia, 8th grader, took Third Place in the 400 Meter Dash and achieved a Top 10 ranking for the State. She continued to set records as she broke her previous Bob Jones Indoor Record for the 400 Meter Dash and now holds the four fastest times in Bob Jones Indoor Track history.
Sydney Truesdail, a recent UAH commit continued her historic career with a Third Place finish in the Pole Vault and achieved a Top 10 ranking for the State.
Julia Grundevik finished Seventh in the High Jump and achieved a Top 25 ranking for the State.
Kalah Christopher finished Ninth in the Long Jump and achieved a Top 25 ranking for the State.
Taylor Thompson finished Ninth in the Shot Put and achieved a Top 25 ranking for the State.
Alivia Urrutia, Arienna Coe, Jolissa Coe, and Molly Halter achieved a new personal record in the 4×400 Meter Relay and finished in Ninth Place.
Joanna Crawford set a new personal record in the Pole Vault with a Tenth Place finish and achieved a Top 25 ranking for the State.
BOYS
Jordan Urrutia finished in Fourth Place in the 60 Meter Dash and tied the Bob Jones Indoor School Record that was set in December 2016. He finished in Sixth Place in the 400 Meter Dash and now owns the Bob Jones School Record for the Indoor 400 Meter Dash. Jordan achieved a Top 25 ranking for the State in both events.
Jordan Morrison finished in Ninth Place in the 400 Meter Dash and achieved a Top 25 ranking for the State.
Caleb Johnson, Eric Joy, Gabe Joy, and Cole Smelser achieved a new personal record in the 4×800 Meter Relay and finished in Tenth Place.
