Our Bob Jones Varsity baseball team has worked really hard this season and is in the playoffs! Each and every member of the team has put in such hard work. The playoffs will give our team a chance to bring home the state title for the second year.
Joshua Wilhide, one of the pitchers who helped bring home the first round of the series win against Thompson, feels confident in this second round of the playoffs. “I had to do a lot of training and mobility work to make sure I can compete at my top level when it matters most, as well as mentally being ready to dominate for my team. I have no worries against Hewitt-Trussville. One of my favorite memories of the season was pitching against Thompson and beating them in the first round of playoffs.”
Tanner Hermesch, another pitcher, gave a terrific performance in the first game against Hewitt-Trussville on Friday. He pitched 10 innings and brought home the 1-0 win.
Our baseball team plays against Hewitt-Trussville again today. Let’s wish them good luck and show some school spirit!
