Spirit week is one of the most exciting weeks during the school year. Students showed their support for the football team and build excitement for the big game with week-long events. Fun events during the week and a great football match-up stirred up school spirit here at Bob Jones.
This year was just as exciting as the years past with each day being themed.
Monday: Generations Day
Tuesday: Zombie Apocalypse
Wednesday: Salad Dressing
Thursday: Hunt the Panthers!
Friday: Glow
Of all the days voted in, Salad Dressing Day seemed to be the most popular. The seniors were easily recognized as they walked the halls in traditional toga costumes.
The SGA representatives of each class decided upon the theme days. “We used ideas that we have done in the past, and we used the overall homecoming theme,” Adam Dodson, senior representative of the SGA said.
Homecoming excitement extended to the City of Madison Thursday with the Bob Jones High School’s parade. Queen hopefuls, greatly tuned musicians and ready-to-play athletes displayed their school colors along with class floats that made their way down Hughes Road as merchants, shoppers, children and proud parents watched. To wind up a week of excitement, this past Saturday night from 8 until 11, the Homecoming Dance was held in the school gym.
