Fields of Faith is an event that has been going on at Bob Jones High School for four years. “Fields of faith is a student-to-student event that the students set up and run,” said Mrs. Thaxton, the head sponsor of the Fields of Faith event.
In the event Fields of Faith…Michelle Patton, a student at Bob Jones explains it as “Student-to-student lead ministry. In which students come together as one to spread God’s word.” Fields of Faith is not just for Bob Jones High School kids. Sparkman, James Clemens, and Monrovia schools also gathered on the Bob Jones track for worship.
Many testimonies were made and students shared their story on how they came to Christ. Prayer, small groups, and a praise and worship were held. Praise and worship is singing uplifting songs while praising Christ.
“It was nice, everyone shared their story, nothing was secret, and everything was out in the open. You didn’t have to hide anything,” stated Donny King, an attendee at Fields of Faith.
Fields of Faith is a wonderful opportunity to meet people who share the faith of worshiping Christ and glorifying God. The next Fields of Faith event should be held in the Fall of 2913.
