Students in Mr. Johnson’s AP Environmental class are gearing up for the environmental science fair. The fair will include studies on ecology, human population, renewable resources, pollution and much more.
The University of Alabama in Huntsville is spreading exciting news about accepting college credits for students with passing grades in the AP Environmental Science class. It’s possible that Madison City Schools will host a lecture from Eric Anderson, a graduate student from UAH within then atmospheric department, and remote sensing professor Dr. Robert Griffin.
Throughout the month of October, Eric Anderson will be working with the AP environmental science class on a GSI project, which is tying into their water unit. In addition to this partnership, students will do field work to collect data.
Mr. Johnson is excited about the possibilities. “Eric and I have discussed the possibility of students presenting their projects at the ESRI Conference in San Diego, California.”
