The PSAT assesses student performance in Math, Critical Reading, and Writing Skills. The PSAT is a great way for students to practice for the SAT. The PSAT is not allowed to be taken as many times as one wants, but he or she may take the SAT as needed. The school pays the fee for sophomores; however, juniors and seniors have to pay $14.
It helps students get accepted into colleges, so the more practice the better. Ms. Roberts says, “I believe that taking the PSAT is a great way for students to learn which is their best test, ACT or SAT.”
The National Merit SemiFinalists and Finalists are determined by this test. This year, the lucky students were as follows:
Russell Buck, Sydney Creekmore, Victoria Florence, Kenneth Fu, David Hergenroeder, Kathryn Laury, John Walz, Martin Want, and Claire Zhang. Kyle Campbell and Priya Ganatra
