Mrs. Nortons Art I and II classes made snowflakes for Sandy Hook Elementary. All snowflakes were made of paper and watercolor.
“This was beneficial to the students as artists because it was another way to express themselves and be creative. As citizens, it was beneficial because they were doing something good for people that they don’t even know,” Mrs. Norton said.
90 students made about 180 snowflakes. “It made me feel better for them, knowing that people cared outside of their community,” said student Alanis Craig.
The thought of the snowflakes goes a long way for some people. In a terrible tragedy such as Sandy Hook, something so small can mean so much.
