On Friday, September, 6, 2013, The Bob Jones student section was quite a sight. There was crowd surfing, baby powder clouds* and eager students cheering for the Patriots to beat the James Clemens Jets. Bob Jones staff, football players and spectators were amazed by the school spirit shown by the hundreds of students dressed in red.
Bob Jones principal, Mr. Robby Parker posted this tweet the day after the game:
“If there was a state championship of student sections, BJ would win it!!! Proud of my kids!!!”
Note: Even though throwing baby powder was a favorite activity among the students in the Bob Jones student section, Madison City Schools have decided to ban the use of baby powder because of potential health risks. Superintendent Dee Fowler, Principal Robby Parker, and Principal Brian Clayton made the decision. Students who still choose to use baby powder will be asked to leave the game.
