Students from various schools across Northern Alabama came together on Wednesday, October 9th to spread their love for Christ. Bob Jones hosted the 2013 Fields of Faith event on the baseball field. Sponsored by Amy Thaxton, this hour-long assembly gave the FCA leaders an oppurtunity to guide their fellow Christian students in songs and praise.
Caroline Jackson and Kathryn Wingenter were FCA’s Main Speakers for the event. This year’s Fields of Faith national message slogan was, “Relentless.” FCA leaders chose specific people for cardboard testimonies in which they shared their story to benefit others. “This is a way to have a seed planted for some other time in their life to accept Christ,” Junior FCA Leader, Sarah Guest said. The cardboard testimonies can affect someone by leading him or her closer to Christ.
Many students describe Fields of Faith as life changing. “You learn from someone else’s experiences, and it is your personal story of what your life was like before Christ and how you came to know Christ,” said Junior FCA Leader Sarah Guest. As many of the FCA Leaders said, “It’s an event you won’t regret.”
