John Meredith, son of Civil Rights Movement figure James Meredith, visited the one and only Zompa Auditorium this past Wednesday. Meredith educated students about the Civil Rights Movement and his father’s role in it. His father, James Meredith, was the first African American student to attend The University of Mississippi. John Meredith’s visit acted as a connection between the Civil Rights movement and Harper Lee’s “To Kill a Mockingbird,” required reading for all ninth graders.

Kennedy Booker, Writer, Photographer
My name is Kennedy like John F. Kennedy, and I have the luck of a Kennedy. I'm a senior, and I'll probably graduate. I'm currently wanting to focus on photography and filmmaking. You can find me writing hard-hitting stories and voicing my opinion too much.
That is all.
