1010! is 10/10

1010! is possibly the most addictive puzzle game since Tetris emerged from the birth canal of Soviet Russia in the 80s.

As the name of the game suggests, the board is a ten-by-ten spread of blank tiles. Below the board, various tile combinations are presented to the player. (Think really vibrant, cubical puzzle pieces that rarely fit together.)

The goal is to fit together pieces until a row (or multiple rows) is completed. The row then disappears, leaving room to repeat this process until the puzzle becomes such a chaotic mess that it is no longer possible to add the presented tiles.

“Other than that, why is it so addicting,” you ask?

At the top of the screen, your high score looms like the grayish-blackish clouds that come before the lightning, almost daring you to beat it down with a higher score, and every time you fail, the number remains, cackling and pointing its finger in sheer mockery, tempting you to try again.

Perhaps this priceless series of swipes, failure and the occasional triumph is something that you should consider adding to your home screen.
