Is Halloween boring to you ? Here are some alternative methods for fun

With Halloween right around the corner, many people are beginning to wonder what they should plan for the night. Countless fun-filled activities can make coming to a decision hard, but whatever you plan, it is important to have fun.

For years many people have dressed up in intricate costumes and have traveled door to door in search of candy and other treats. Noele Hendrickson, when asked about her opinion on trick or treating replied, “I enjoy trick or treating, but it is a little awkward and I do it mainly to give the candy to my little siblings.” When asked if she recommends trick or treating, Noele replied, “I would recommend it if you are just staying at home, but if you are going to a party then you shouldn’t.”

Haunted houses are another source of a scary yet thrilling place to have fun. Many are found across the United States in smaller cities, usually out in the suburbs. Tariq Burris, when asked about his experience from a haunted house, said that it was scary, confined, and he wouldn’t do it again. Although he said he would not go again, Tariq still recommends going to a haunted house for the initial experience.

Corn mazes are yet another great source of fun. They give you an opportunity to experience surprises around every corner including dead ends and petrifying clown men waiting to scare you. Janice Hendrick, a sophomore at Bob Jones, has been to a corn maze and enjoyed her experience along with her friends. However after exploring the maze for a while her eyes began to hurt. Nevertheless, she would still recommend taking a trip to a corn maze.

Recently a new type of fun has arisen from the corn fields in northern Alabama. Now instead of exploring a maze you can ride in a hayride and have a paintball gun to defend yourself against the approaching zombies. This relatively new method of fun can bring new experiences every second.

Whatever you plan to do for Halloween this year, remember to be safe and have fun.
