Seniors: It’s All Coming to an End
April 14, 2016
On May 23, 2016, the BJHS seniors will be graduating at the VBC Arena. This sad, yet glorious day will start at 8 a.m. with a graduation practice. After the practice students will return to the VBC East Hall at 5:30 p.m. Each student will be given 10 tickets for family and friends. A sign-up sheet for extra tickets will not come out until May 6th.
Some events transpiring before graduation day include the following: the senior breakfast, the picnic, and the awards ceremony.
The senior breakfast will be held during first block in the cafeteria on April 22nd. Chick-Fil-A will be provided. To place your order, go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/r/bjhs2016.
The senior picnic will be held on April 28th during third block. Seniors will go to the Eastview practice fields. Jimmy John’s will be available. To place your order, go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/r/bjhs2016.
If you still haven’t ordered your cap and gown, it costs $75 and will be given out during the senior breakfast.
Also, senior awards are on May 19th at 7:00 p.m. If you wish to participate, it will take place at the Jackson Center. A list will be posted of the students being recognized.
As the year draws to an end, seniors have mixed emotion.
Senior and star football player Cameron Langham said, “I’m sad that some of my friends will be leaving to different states for college. I’m going to miss my brothers, but I’m ready to go to college and play football again!”
Another senior Tariq Burris said, “I have been waiting for this day my whole life! I’m glad to see it’s finally here!”
Many agree that graduation is nerve-wrecking, but most can’t wait for it to be over. Soon seniors will be moving on with their lives–lives filled with success and new experiences.
