Before you attend, you must be sure you realize that Multicultural Club is not Interfaith club (but that’s something you should consider attending also). Multicultural Club does not focus on religion. Multicultural Club focuses on introducing people to new languages and foreign traditions; however, some beliefs may be mentioned they will not be expanded upon in depth.

MCC was defined as a melting pot of cultures, people, and places by one of its founders Sara Lin.
What does Multicultural Club hope to accomplish?
It hopes to help people develop an understanding and appreciation of others and their culture. It also hopes to prevent the insensitivity that comes from misunderstanding and ignorance. In short, MCC hopes to bridge the gap between people of all backgrounds.
What can you expect from Multicultural Club?
A warm, welcoming and friendly environment. A safe place where you can be yourself free of judgment.
What can you happens in a Multicultural Club meeting?
A typical meeting would consist of learning basics of a language, practicing certain recreational activities (such as taekwondo, origami, or meditating ). There is also the possibility of a guest speaker that will be present to teach more about the culture that is being highlighted that week. Last but certainly not least, some weeks there will be food days where a diverse selection of food will fit every palate.
What cultures will be represented?
Japanese and Arabic are the first that will be showcased. Members are more than welcome to suggest what will be next and even lead future meetings around the culture of their choice.
Meetings will occur every Tuesday after school from 3:30 to 4:30 in Mrs. Teare’s room (N207).
