Every single week at Bob Jones High School, the Patriot Path occurs Wednesday afternoon. There are always different choices to choose from, such as knitting, outdoor activities, and even club meetings. Most of these sessions are offered or taught by the wonderful teachers at Bob Jones. After experiencing the new Patriot Path for a semester, the students have come up with some exotic ideas for Patriot Path sessions. The following suggestions may even become future Patriot Path sessions, whether or not they are student-led.

“I think being able to travel around the world would be a cool Patriot Path, or more realistically, just being able to learn about different places and their culture as well as how they function as a society in general,” explained Leslie Chu, a sophomore at Bob Jones. The idea of traveling around the globe may be difficult to accomplish in the one-hour long Patriot Path. But the concept of learning about and exploring the different countries of the world, in order to prepare for travel, could possibly be a future Patriot Path session theme. Many students at Bob Jones would love to travel the world one day, so this suggestion may provide us the knowledge we need to know in the future, as well as allowing students to dream big about their future.

“I would do a High School Musical karaoke because I love High School Musical and to sing!” exclaimed junior Hailey Neal. The Patriot Path she suggested is the perfect opportunity for students to gather and share their passion of two things, movies (specifically High School Musical) and singing songs from the movies. Although High School Musical is a favorite of many students, the “movie karaoke” Patriot Path would probably include karaoke from many different movies, too.

Even teachers have some new ideas for Patriot Path.

“I think it would be interesting if we could go zip lining over the courtyard,” suggests Mrs. Norton, one of the art teachers at Bob Jones.

Although the zip lining Patriot Path option may not be possible, it is still fun to dream of possibilities. Maybe if your idea is realistic, it could become a future Patriot Path. See Mrs. Vandagriff or any administrator with your suggestions.
