Bob Jones Band competed in several different shows throughout many states, and they have performed at all of the football games. They also supported the school at pep rallies, marched in many parades, and have done so much more. The Bob Jones band is a group that is composed of many hard-working and creative individuals who devote a lot of their time to perfecting their shows.

All of the band members have practiced a minimum of three times a week, sometimes even up to 5 days a week for their show, “The Divide.” They have attended all of the football games so far and continue to support our team in the playoffs. They have competed in four competitions throughout this season alone, including one on Saturday the November 3rd in Muscle Shoals.

Saturday’s competition was not just any normal competition, and it was the last competition of the season and their reintroduction to state competition. With that being said, this was a very important and emotional competition to everyone who was a part of it. I am proud to announce that our band competed in the highest division possible, against nineteen teams, and they still managed to take home third place.

Not only did our amazing band win third place, but our color guard and drum majors did an amazing job and won first place overall. On top of all of that, not only did they get to perform an amazing show and have the honor of winning third place, but they also had the privilege of telling an important message to everyone there. Their message was about the United States coming together as well stated by one of our students who said,  “It is such a relief when you can smile again and the United States becomes united.”

Bob Jones Band is a school organization that brings together all sorts of uniquely talented students and allows them to compete and play music together. This season has been an amazing journey filled with many laughs, a lot of fun, and much hard work and dedication.
