Get Your Hula on! Hawaiian Themed Spirit Day

Jimmy Carter, Writer

March 15th, the Student Government Association will be sponsoring a Patriot Pride competition between the grade levels. Patriot Pride started at the beginning of the year in hopes of encouraging beneficial rivalry between the grade levels. For each Patriot Pride competition the classes are rewarded 100 points for 1st place, 75 points for 2nd place, 50 points for 3rd place, and 25 points for 4th place. The competition on Friday is a spirit day to help the school get into the spring break spirit. Students can take part in this competition by wearing Hawaiian themed clothes, and will have their student IDs on Friday morning to track participation (student IDs are on the Patriot Path Dashboard under “Student Card”). Competition results will be released at the end of the day.

The Current Standings between the grade levels:

1st: Seniors with 250 Points

2nd(tie): Juniors with 175 Points

2nd(tie): Freshmen with 175 Points

4th: Sophomores with 150 Points

This year’s Patriot Pride competition is still anyone’s game, so support your grade level by dressing up. This will be one of the last competitions of the year, so make it count!
