Patriot Path is once a week on Wednesdays for one hour here at Bob Jones High School. Students can use this time to do something academic or attend fun activity like Jenga, Playdoh, or ping pong. You can sign up for these classes and make new friends, or you can sign up with friends. You can also choose a new class every week.
Students have said that Patriot Path helps them relieve stress and helps them socialize more. Anna Fuller, a sophomore here at Bob Jones, stated that she loves Patriot Path and it’s the highlight of her week. She also said that Patriot Path helps her meet new people and allows her to socialize more.
This new school year (23-24), the school decided to do 9th grade orientation for all 9th graders at Bob Jones. It helps them get an idea of who they want to be when they grow up and it teaches them all about Bob Jones and what we stand for! It also helps them interact with each other by playing fun games at the end. This only lasted for the first nine weeks, and then 9th graders are free to sign up for any session they want.
Patriot Path has been a great addition to our school, and it helps kids do better in classes as they get a break from school. There are also quiet classes where you can study for upcoming tests and make up missing assignments. In Octorber, we also have options themed around the holidays, for example: Halloween fun, build skeletons, or watch a movie with snacks. There are so many options to choose from so students never get bored and always have fun every wednesday.
