Bob Jones High School is full of exceptionally talented students. However, some of the best talents remain hidden beneath the surface. Whether it be in athletics, arts, or other various fields, these incredible skills deserve recognition. Let’s take a look at some of the hidden talents a few students at Bob Jones High School have.
To begin, Keegan Schuette, a junior here at Bob Jones High School has a hidden talent in Esports. Not too long after joining the team, Keegan was chosen to be a captain. He explains, “I had originally joined Esports to have fun and win some games but I never thought it would actually become a talent of mine.” Even though few know of this hidden talent of his, Keegan has helped lead his team to a 3rd place win in the central region for Valorant.
On the artistic side, Charlie McGinley, another junior, has an extreme talent in art. More specifically, Charlie specializes in acrylic paint. This past semester, Charlie won 2nd place at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Art Expo. Charlie says, “Art has been a passion of mine for the longest time. Not many people know how good I am at it though.” Ultimately, Charlie enjoys quietly perfecting his work, making art one of his hidden talents.
Lastly, Mary Kennedy, a senior this year, is secretly talented when it comes to piano playing. Reflecting on her journey, Mary says, “For all three years of middle school, I attended a performing arts school and there, I learned how to play the piano.” Mary continues by saying, “I still play it every now and then.” Overall, Mary enjoys playing the piano in her free time, away from others, making this a hidden talent of hers. In the end, whether it be those stated above, guitar playing, photography, dancing, or even cooking, the list of hidden talents extends greatly. Additionally, students at Bob Jones High School get the chance to compete in a HOSA Talent Show almost every year.
