Auditions for the Bob Jones Theatre Department are coming up soon! In order to audition, you can either send in an audition video to the linked Google Form by April 3rd, or come in on March 11th at 4:00 P.M to the Drama Room, S102! For your audition, you will need a 60 second comedic or dramatic monologue. This can be from a movie, play, or tv show, OR you can write your own original piece!
Other things to consider:
- In the fall semester, Theatre 1&2 only have four dates that require after-school time.
- In the spring semester, Theatre 1 & 2 only have two dates that require after-school time.
- Both semesters have an optional overnight Theatre Conference Field Trip opportunity.
- No Textbooks and NO Homework.
- We work with all JHS athletics and activities to avoid schedule conflicts.
In regards to registration, go ahead and register for Theatre 1 (Beginning Drama) in PowerSchool, or If you want to have drama all year long, register for Theatre 1 and Theatre 2. If you’ve already taken a high school drama class, then register for the next-level drama class.
Please note that you do NOT have to audition to take Beginning Drama and you do NOT have to audition to take Beginning Technical Theatre! However, for actors, with a video or an in-person audition, you can guarantee your spot in Beginning, or be considered for skipping levels, or be considered for Advanced Production!
