Anna Mcabee is a girl, a girl with sandy-blonde hair and blue eyes. A girl with a flair for the dramatic, and by that I mean she’s in the drama program. Not only is she a patriot, but she is also a member of the elite acting troupe here at Bob Jones: The Patriot Players.
She is left-handed. She can put her feet behind her head. She likes to plan virtual trips inside her mind, even down to the food she would order. She was talking in complete sentences at the age of nine months. Her favorite movies are those from the 80s. She has been to Disney World every year since the age of four years old, sometimes even twice a year. Her first concert was Van Halen. She likes to help worms in need, rescuing them from the sidewalk after it rains. She is happiest whenever she eats every two hours. She is perfectly human.
Perhaps, Anna’s best quality is her gleaming personality. Her exuberant enthusiasm for life and the people that surround her leaves something to be desired. Never have I found a moment in her presence to be dull. And I know from having shared the experience with her that her positive energy and fun spirit have brought a light-hearted element to the hectic atmosphere of trying to put a play together.
“Well, she’s versatile,” said Kayla Thompson, fellow patriot and friend to Anna. “She is friends with so many people and so many types of people. And she can go from friend group to friend group with out changing who she is completely or being fake.”
When asked about her acting experience with Anna, Kayla Thompson said the following: “I’m primarily best at comedic, and she’s primarily best at dramatic so we’ve both helped each other out of our comfort zones and grow as actors.”
Anna Mcabee attended an acting class at the age of five and hasn’t looked back since. She’s been in several plays including Bridge to Terabithia, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, The Diary of Anne Frank, Raggedy Ann and Andy, and Bob Jones’ very own The Last Illusion.
From a cosmological standpoint, Anna Mcabee is but a mere speck in the grand scheme of things. One girl that attends Bob Jones High School in Madison, Alabama, United States, Planet Earth, Milky Way Galaxy. But she is a unique and individual speck- a speck that deserves a closer look.
