Hurricane Sandy devastated many on the East Coast. Many abandoned their homes and their belongings. Others are without power; however, many organizations are working to fix this.
A major organization helping is Red Cross, an organization known for helping during times of disaster. The organization is providing shelter to stranded victims.
The Red Cross is also accepting $10 donations to aide in helping the hurricane victims. Donations are also being used to buy victims basic products such as toothpaste, baby food, Clorox, pet food, baby wipes, deodorant and more important items.
The Salvation Army is another organization working to help. They have set up mobile feeding spots for those who desperately need it. Even animal organizations are working to help abandoned animals.
So how does this relate to Bob Jones students? Students can go to a local Salvation Army or any store participating in helping with the victims of Hurricane Sandy and donate $10. That money can help feed or shelter someone in need.
