Have you finished your Christmas shopping? 

As December 25th approaches, some people start growing frantic about finding the perfect Christmas gift. Other people are perfectly calm because they have already finished their shopping, possibly many weeks before Christmas.

“I don’t even start my shopping until 3 or 4 days before Christmas,” said Lane Matthews, a junior at Bob Jones.

“I get all my shopping done during Black Friday sales, so that I can get it done soon, and save money,” said a customer at Target.

So much money is spent in the last week before Christmas. According to foxnews.com approximately $659 billion is spent, and in 2012, sales are projected to grow by 12%. Online stores work very hard to ship their orders out in time, and some even offer free one day shipping on orders put in the last few days before Christmas in order to lure sales.

“The days before Christmas are always insane.  People rush to get the finishing touches on their presents done and to buy food for Christmas dinner,” said an employee at Target.

Remember to get all Christmas shopping done as soon as possible.  If one waits until Christmas Eve, items might not be available and online stores will not be able to ship in time.
