On Thursday, 29 January 2026, Mrs. Lambert surprised AFJROTC by presenting the Alabama Semiquincentennial School Award to the cadre and cadets of AFJROTC. The award encourages all students to be familiar with the founding principles of our Declaration of Independence so that they can identify how and why these principles have been important in Alabama’s history and how these principles will continue to be important, not only to Americans and the United States but to people and nations around the world.

The award was set forth by Senator Arthur Orr and the American Village. The flag will be proudly displayed in the B hallway near AFJROTC.
