On Thursday, February 4th at 2:00 pm, our Bob Jones wrestling team will compete against James Clemens in a battle for the city.

This dual will occur during 4th block in the Bob Jones gym, and Mrs. Lambert has approved that all 4th block elective classes and teachers can attend this event for free.

Thursday’s dual is the final dual of the season and will be Senior day for our seven senior wrestlers. It is also a time to recognize the senior’s choice of Celebrity Teachers, and the seniors’ favorite teachers will be recognized.

The senior wrestlers and their celebrity teachers as as follows:

Pierson Cauwels- Mr. Campbell

Dominic Davis- Mr. Mack

Chase Henderson- Ms. Lakso

Marshall Hildreth- Ms. Lawson

Tyler Moulton- Mr. Slack

Griffin Ridgeway- Coach Schrimsher

Ben Rogers- Ms. Dupree

This year’s team has been very successful this season and has an impressive school record of 25-3 for dual wins. Their only two losses came from two #1 ranked teams: Arab #1 in 6A and Thompson #1 in 7A.

Currently, our team is ranked #4, the highest ranking in school history, and they have placed in every tournament they have attended in the state of Alabama.

Coach Sweatman, the wrestling coach, would love to have a packed out gym for Thursday’s dual and said, “I understand that academics are extremely important, but please make arrangements to come support these guys that have represented Bob Jones well all season.”
