Bob Jones cheerleaders conducted a cheer camp for 5-12 year olds in August.  The purpose of the clinic was to encourage young girls and boys to become cheerleaders and to promote BJ spirit in the community.  They shared skills, cheers, and played fun games.  Hannah Drury described it as “providing a safe environment for the younger cheerleaders and to have fun as well as to show them what cheerleading is all about.”

Cheerleaders are at all the games and highly visible.  Because of this, they serve as role models for Madison youth.  Drury confirmed this.  “Yes, because when I was younger and I went to the cheer clinics, I looked up to them so I feel like I have to [be a positive role model].”

At the end of the clinic, when all that hard work was over and done, clinic attendees got to perform it in front of their parents.  This clinic served as a fundraiser.

Their next big fundraiser will be Breakfast for Santa on December 6th.  If you want to catch up with the BJHS Cheer, you should follow them at @BobJonesCheer.

Bob Jones Cheer will be defending their STATE TITLE on November 15th at Wallace State. They will be going head to head with James Clemens Jets for the title.
