The Search for the (Not-So) Holy Grail

Abby Ogle, Writer

Hear ye! Hear ye! Lords and Ladies, Dukes and Duchesses, and other members of the land of  Bob Jones, the Myth and Legend course is on a quest.  In the halls around the school, there shall be a scavenger hunt to find and answer questions about Arthurian legends.

Mr. Campbell, the teacher, organizes the event and enlists the help of teachers who have planning during that block.  The students in Myth and Legends participate in a guild.  They roam the hallways and use their knowledge of Arthurian legends as they make their way through the quest.  Several groups even used a smartphone app that sounds like Monty Python coconut-galloping.

Mr. Campbell, also known to his students as The King of Campbellot, puts theme-appropriate artwork on the walls. If one of the guilds finds the grail before the others, then their artwork is in favor of being on the wall above the Sacred Smart Board of Boarding, hung by His Majesty himself (again, Mr. Campbell). As stated before, answering all of the Arthurian questions correctly brings a guild closer to completing the quest and shouting “Huzzah!” in victory.

Mr. Campbell does this with every Myth and Legends class, and the event has earned its own legendary status.
