Feel like getting your learn on?  Outside of school?  On your own dime?  Lowe Mill is for you.

Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment is America’s largest independent center for the arts, according to their website. They offer classes in hundreds of subjects and some of the classes are even FREE. Others are reasonably priced.

Sarah Dauro, the owner of Handmade Saori Weaving Studio, tries to keep their prices between $25-$100. “The silk painting class is $32 for a 2 hour class. That includes your materials and you go home with a scarf. Silk painting is what I call a ‘special’ class, meaning that it is not offered all the time. I try to have one special class a month. This particular class is being taught by friends of mine who have a Saori Weaving studio in Peachtree City, GA. Our regular classes are weaving and spinning classes. The weaving classes are $25 for a 2 hour class plus a materials fee. When you come in for this class, the loom is already warped and you get to weave in the Saori style (no patterns, no mistakes, just weaving your heart). At the end of the class, your cloth is removed from the loom and weighed. The materials fee is $4/oz and for most first time weavers, it is under $10.”

For the month of February, they will be offering a purse-making class. This class is $50 plus a $10 materials fee for the handles, interfacing, etc. The finished purse will be fully lined with handles, a button closure, an inside zipper pocket, and a cell phone pocket. This class is 10 hours over 2 days.

My Designs Graphic Design and Illustrations offers professional solutions for getting your market’s attention. The owner, Monica Yother, has over 28 years of experience in marketing, graphic design, and illustration. Her classes range from $35-$50. She teaches Photoshop One, Photoshop Two, Graphic Design, Graphic Design 2, WordPress, and Adobe Indesign.
