Who doesn’t love ice cream during the summer? In town, you can experience a handcrafted frozen treat at Handel’s Ice Cream at 7086 Hwy 72 W, Huntsville, AL 35806. We rated the ice cream off of 4 categories: Service, Taste, Price, Overall.

Service: The employees were awesome, but due to the large line and lack of employees in the building, the service was slow. It took about 20 minutes to get a small cup of ice cream. Maybe on a less busy day, it would be much smoother.

4/10

Taste: The ice cream was different than store-bought ice cream, this is made with real vanilla beans and cocoa. You can definitely taste the difference and is well worth the wait. There were lots of choices for flavors too, but we went with vanilla for the most authentic taste.

10/10

Price: For a single scoop it was $3.25, and for a pint, it was $5. For the price, the ice cream was worth it and beat its competitors. However, with quality comes a price. The ice cream did cost more than some chains, so if you are looking for a cheaper solution look elsewhere.

9/10

Overall: Overall the experience was great, due to the hot weather, the ice cream was great and a refreshing treat. As long as you can stand to wait a decent time and are expecting a bigger price tag, then we definitely suggest Handel’s Ice Cream.
